Hi @niketantote, happy to help! Could you add more context via a few specifics, please?

My login details should not be sent to the mails. Having disabled the setting on woocommerce, but still not display the password field and mail was send to the user.

If I understand correctly, it sounds like you do not want any emails to be sent to customers when they sign up for an account.

For that, you settings should look like the following: WP Admin > WooCommerce > Accounts & Privacy, check all except for Account creation options > Send password setup link.

Your customers should then be offered an option to create an account on the checkout page. Here’s what it looks like using Storefront Theme with the Checkout block:

Due to the setting above, the customer won’t receive the password setup email. However, they will still receive the New Account email, letting them know where they can log in to manage orders. If you want to prevent that as well, you’ll need to disable that email as well.

To do that, go to WooCommerce > Settings > Emails > New account > Manage, and toggle it off to disable it. You’ll see an x next to it instead of a tick when it’s done.

Now, your new customer won’t receive any emails about signing up for an account.

I hope that’s what you were aiming for. If not, please add more details with links to the page(s) in question, and detailed steps for how to recreate what you’re experiencing. That will help us better assist with a solution.

Hi @niketantote! When I visit the site’s checkout page, I can see the password field there, which is where I would expect the settings to have an effect:

The above illustrates that the setting works on your site. The question is: does that modal know about and/or respect that WooCommerce setting?

The modal is not a default WooCommerce feature, so I’m not able to answer that question. I would suggest reaching out to the developer of the theme or plugin that adds the modal, and hear from them what options are available for it. Developers can reference our Developer Resources for how to integrate WooCommerce functionality into their plugins/themes, and join related discussions on the Community Slack.

Let us know if there’s anything else we can assist with from our end.
