Hi, I’ve just downloaded the plugin and started to use it… so if I’ve missed something, please let me know.

It seems pretty straightforward to add recurring events, but I’m not sure how the events are treated once they’re created. In our business, we want users to be able to register for “every Tuesday and Thursday night from 5-6pm, between June 26 and July 31” — rather than registering for ONE of the days.

Again, if I’m missing something obvious, please let me know.

You want to be able to register for multiple events at the same time (recurrent events are treated as such).
For the moment this is not possible, although I’m currently writing out how to implement this. It should make it to the next version, but will take some time …

Hi Franky, I’ve been using EME for a few months (really basic uses so far) and am really appreciating it. THANK YOU. THANK YOU.

Just checking in to see if the idea in this thread made it into the next version?

A question based on your response above: Would I be able to set a single cost (and count a single group of registrants ) for each set of “recurrent events”?

And if so, a bit more complicated: Could I set a “session rate” (multiple) and an “individual event rate” separately… to allow for users to get a discount if they register for the whole session at one time?

Just trying to see how this will work in the future for our registrations, as we would like to enable Paypal on the site.

    Thanks again.

    See the doc: https://www.e-dynamics.be/wordpress/?cat=5968
    So multibooking is indeed possible
Concerning your single cost, exactly what do you mean? The multi-booking is rather new, and I’m open for extra’s in there.
Concerning discounts: discounts per booking can be programmed rather easily, but not for a series of events (yet). Although I’m already grouping all bookings into “payment id’s”, so adding something like that would be possible.
On my big to-do list is a more comprehensive discount method …

Hi Franky, thanks for the reply. It’s GREAT to see multibooking is possible now. I will try this out next time I get an hour or two to work on the site.

In response to your question about single cost, let’s take the following example:

    • We’re running a session that starts today (September 13) and runs every Saturday morning until October 25 (with the exception of October 11). That makes for 6 individual classes.
    • Most people will sign up for the whole session.
    • Some people have trouble committing, so may choose to come to some classes and not others. Say someone chooses September 13, 20, and October 18
    • If you sign up for the whole session, the cost for you is $60. But if you sign up for individual classes, the cost is $12 per class.
    • In this case, $60 is what I meant by paying a “single cost” for a group of events.

It’s not in this example, but I could take that further and offer a discount for people who sign up for the whole session AND meet some other criteria, like being a member of some club, for example.

Hope this is clearer… thanks so much,
      Kenton

If there are 6 sessions and each sessions costs $12, then the total would be $72 …
This means that you would already give a discount for the 6 together too.
As said: currently not possible …

Thanks for the reply. For the time being, I’ll try to implement the registration form without payment. I appreciate the responses!
