Registration sets roles

I am using role manager, to set up special roles on the site.

For example I have a role called student that allows them to view certian pages.

I want to add a field to the registrion page, that ask if the user is a student. If so their role is set to student.

If the answer is no, their role is set to subscriber.

Please let me know if this is possible.
