• I receive emails advising of a “New user registration” on my site. When I go to check the “new user”, it is someone who has basically just filled in their email address, but none of the info “required” by the Profile page.

How are these people getting “registered” without having to complete the “required” items on the Profile and and what can I do to prevent it?

    Thanks.

  • please check that your website does not have any malicious code , or it has not been hacked .
You can check it at Sucuri.net

I checked it at Sucuri.net and it reported that it is “Verified Clean.”

    What next?

You don’t have to fill in anything more then a email address and password to register at a site. Any other fields that re filled in are done when the user goes into their admin area and does it themself. The standard registration does not force anything more.

There’s probably some plugins around that will help with this, so have a browse though the list and see what can do what you’re after.
