RegistrationMagic Plugin slows down page loading

    Hello,
    I’m working on a new website for a small sailing club.
    We would like to use RegistrationMagic in conjunction with other Metagauss plugins such as Profilegrid or EventPrime. But the plugin delays the loading time to 10 or more seconds.
    If the plugin is deactivated, the loading time is significantly shorter.
    I have already deactivated the plugin once, uninstalled it and then reinstalled it. Unfortunately the result hasn’t gotten any better.
    Unfortunately I don’t know how to help myself and I’m hoping for support from the forum.

    Hi @cptnhaddock,

    Thanks for bringing this problem to our attention. While our load analysis and optimization test results under various test conditions are within accepted parameters, we are constantly working to further improve our plugin’s optimization and efficiency. Also, we ran a quick test for your site using gtmetrix web tool and didn’t notice too much lag.

    Having said that, we understand that the plugin’s script in conjunction with the site’s environment, traffic, and server parameters can also affect the performance.

    Could you please let us know if you have details about which files/scripts are seemingly taking more time? Also, do you have cache enabled? And lastly, how much time difference do you notice with and without RegistrationMagic activated?

    thanks for your response.
    With the link below you will find some screenshots, which show the loading times and delays of some files/scripts.
    This can be done using the developer tools in the Chrome browser (F12).

    Caching is enabled (WP Super Cache).
    WP RegistrationMagic Plugin is active.

    Without logging in to WordPress / WP Registration Magic, the loading time is approx. 1-2 seconds.
    After log-in, this is extended to 8 or more seconds.

    Hi @cptnhaddock,

    Could you please update to the latest version of RegistrationMagic and let us know if that helps in improving the load time. We have included patch for a JS issue in this update that was slowing the load time.

    thanks for your reply.
    All plugins have been updated, including RegistrationMagic to version 5.2.4.9.
    Calling up the homepage took less than 900ms.

    Calling up the Member / RegistrationMagic LogIn-Page (not yet logged in), on the other hand, takes more than 12 seconds.

    Going back to the homepage (with the WP SuperCache turned on and logged into WordPress) takes more than 10 seconds.

    Unfortunately the RegMagic update didn’t help yet.

    I will move my WP installation to another host with a faster server and looking forward to faster loading times.

    changing the website host to a more powerful server solved that issue with long loading times.
