so I finally have time to do a further check but realised even 3.0.3 my site still got prob with it

for example the checkout cant load, it stuck, and some of my products(which is random at all) around 1/20 of my products goes out of stocks while you can fix it just to click “update” in the product edit page… I might have to go back to 3.0.1

    Hello @jptailfashion, @torax, @netesh and @felipexa,

I just wanted to inform you the issue has been resolved and we will release a theme update today.

The problem was caused by the PhotoSwipe JS, a library we used when we switched to Vanilla as of 3.0.0 version.

Unfortunately, the script authors didn’t have a solution for this problem, and until that changes and the script is stable enough to be implemented, we are switching back to Magnific Popup. This script has been in use with OceanWP from the beginning.

Once again, a huge thanks to everyone who reported the issue (sites with a large amount of images were experiencing it), especially for the understanding and the patience.

A special thanks goes to @torax and @felipexa for allowing us to investigate the problem on their staging sites. @felipexa even went the extra mile to isolate the staging on a separate server so we can perform any type of testing, and that has made quite an impact on finding the cause of the issue fast and solving it.

Once the update is released, please test on staging / localhost / test site.

We did perform tests on all the sites mentioned above, but this is a standard precaution measure regardless of the update (big or small, any theme / plugin).

Wishing all of you an amazing day and if you have any questions please let us know

@wpfleek Thanks for you support as well, the update of oceanwp and ocean extra latest versions you released went smooth, even fixed a conflict I had with Elementor pro.

From my side it is all good now, thanks!

The problem has been solved and I have updated all my sites that run with OceanWP, in all of them they are working normally.

When upgrading, remember to delete all caches as well. In some installations some photos did not load correctly before full and complete cleaning.

@wpfleek , thank you very much for the way you handled this very specific case.

I’m a nub to maintaining my site. These plugs were updated 5 hours ago. I’ve cleared the cache and am still having issues.

These plugins are now up to date:
    – Ocean Extra (from version 1.7.9 to 1.8.0)

These themes are now up to date:
    – OceanWP (from version 3.0.4 to 3.0.5)

@financailrevival What types of issues? Say here even if it is the same reported in this post (intensive use of server resources). Or if it’s another type of problem, ideally it opens a new question.

The animated text that slide in, images and some of the plugins are not showing up at all on the Home page and various other pages.

@torax and @felipexa, in any other situation I would have replied “you’re welcome”, but here all credits go to you guys, so thank you once again ??

@financailrevival those issues are not the same.

OceanWP theme and Ocean Extra plugin do not provide features such as options to insert images, animations of any kind, etc, and especially do not control the installation or removal of any plugins as that is the WordPress part.

At this point anything I’d say would be a pure speculation. We can definitely take a look at your website.

If you’re a client and have a customer account with us, you can submit a ticket with all relevant details, screenshots etc. If you’re not a client, you can submit a prepurchase ticket via https://oceanwp.org

    Thank you
