    My WP site was recently moved to a new server. However the problem may be that I goofed. I was trying to locate my password on this add on site with phpMyAdmin. I did eventually locate my password, but apparently I also caused a problem. My Dashboard doesn’t show anything now. I see the Profile and Personal Options page, but the dashboard is extremely limited to only Activity with recently published and comments. There is no link to WP for downloading or updating the WP or the suffusion template that is installed. Can I fix the phpMyAdmin somehow? Do I need to reinstall WP or the Suffusion template? Can I reinstall on the site or would it have to be with FTP? Thanks for any replies or help on this.

    It sounds like your account may have lost admin privileges for some reason.

    If you are not using Multisite, access your database via phpMyAdmin (most hosting providers offer this in their control panel), go to the wp_users table and find the row for your user_login . Note the ID of this row. Now, go to the wp_usermeta table and find the wp_capabilities row for your user_id . Set the value of this row to:

    a:1:{s:13:"administrator";b:1;}

    This worked! Thanks so much. Saved me a lot of hours puzzling about the solution.
