• Hy,

after some time I have tried to reinstall WooCommerce (deleted time ago) and now, on activating I am getting “There has been a critical error on your website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.”

I don’t remember exacytly wivh other Woocommerce plugin installed at time but for shure Woocommerce Admin and Woocommerce Paypal if can help.

Been able to get the site back by renaming the plugin folder (https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/troubleshooting-fatal-error-plugin/).
Tried to get idea on the problem using Health Check (https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/) as documented but on the plugin list Woocommerce was not available an test not possible.

Any idea on how to solve the activation problem ?

    Thank’s Orso

  • Chances are you’re experiencing PHP version conflicts and plugins are not able to work on the new PHP version.

If you’re able, please go to WooCommerce > Status > Get System Report > Copy Report and paste it here.

    Thank you.

Thank’s Stef, will like to have a point to start from but I am unable to get any report due to the impossibility of activating.

So when WC is activated the site breaks? Can you install the site on a staged server and use a default theme to try and get it up and running so you can pull a report?

You could also maybe put it in maintenance mode and switch themes to a default theme, activate WC, grab a report and then disable both WC and the default theme.

Yes correct, please can you explain what is a “staged server” ?

You could also maybe put it in maintenance mode and switch themes to a default theme, activate WC, grab a report and then disable both WC and the default theme.

I have tried that way using a plugin and setting the default theme but again “critical error”

One think I forgot to explain is that I had found that, after removing Woocommerce from Plugin management, all tables belonging to woocommerce and lazyeater (no idea what is) still on the db.
