• Hello
So I recently went through a massive internal issue with my website and blog and had to more or less take down my WP blog until I got things sorted out. Now that things seem mostly fixed I am attempting to get my blog reintegrated back into my website.

My primary website is https://www.planforward.net and my wordpress site is planforward.net/wp.

For some reason if I type in “www” before my wordpress site it doesn’t work but that’s a challenge for another day at this point. Is there a quick and easy way to reintegrate my blog back into my site? I annoyingly am using a service called photoshelter to build my site and they have been little to no help at all, so I’m coming to the pros.

    Please let me know

    Thanks

A few questions to start off:

    1. What do you mean specifically by “reintegrate my blog back into my site”?

    2. What is preventing you from doing that now?

    3. What happened before to start the initial problem?

    Hopefully a few answers

    1. So before the issues (which I’ll explain in a bit), our site featured our wordpress blog. Whoever initially set it up, had it almost mirrored on the site, as in if you clicked on the “blog” link on our actual site our entire wordpress site was visible but we were still on our website, if that makes any sense at all.

    2. I honestly just am not sure how. The service we are using to build our website is extremely limited in adding content and doing much more than building porfolios for projects. Our website is up and running and our blog is up and running, but I just can’t get the two to communicate fully. I have been able to integrate content, just not the full site (again, if that makes sense)

    3. In a very abridged version, I tried to change the URL for my wordpress site and everything went haywire. Somehow my database was deleted, my cNAME was lost, and things were dramatically unlinked (still trying to figure out why adding “www” before my wordpress site doesn’t work, but that’s the least of my issues,. I ended up having to do a full restore which still saved the content but lost the full integration I had before.

So all that to say is there a coding issue or some kind of full integration I can do to get this to show up here

If there’s ANYTHING that still doesn’t make sense please let me know. Thanks in advance

So I’m not sure if it was set up with a wget command or something like that, but after doing some looking around that’s my best guess, but I know a lot of websites kind restrict access to that since url’s are constantly changing, but if that’s a solution, I’m willing to try

I’m assuming maybe the blog was loading in a frame, or some other custom work was done.

Do you still have contact info for whoever set it up before?

    That would convenient if so.

I might be able to find it, but apparently things didn’t end well and the previous person has cut all ties and wants nothing to do with the company.

How easy would a framing set up be?

It’s hard to say, given the extent of customization on either end.

I’d recommend hiring someone to do this for you, as you’ll be able to give them direct access.

Please try one of the following sites:
