    Hello,

In the options page I have ‘Related by: Attribute’

But lets say on PRODUCT XYZ I want it to be related by category.
Is it possible? Is there something we can change in the shortcode?

Hello, no sorry, there is no such thing at the moment.
But I am adding this to my “features requests list”.

I am currently working on version 4.0 of the plugin which will be a major release so if you have any more feature suggestions feel free to send them over.

    Thanks.

Thank you, I will do if I find anythng. Thank you for being opened to receive feedback about your work, I made a suggestion to another plugin and the dev would bit my head off if he could.

I got one more suggestion: Products Related by subcategory.

Use case: I have a category named ‘COURSES’ then 2 subcategories ‘North’ and ‘South’.
If I’m viewing a product that belongs to the ‘North’ category, then the related products should all be from the ‘North’.
This is because, no one that lives in the North will attend a course in the South.

Actually I think I found a way around this. If I exclude the parent category it works

@bttmrc how did you excluded the parent category, can you share the shortcode?

@carolaword hi, in the Woo Related Products Settings Page there is a field to exclude certain categories. In my case, that works, because Im only using the related plugin in certain product pages.

    Thanks @bttmrc !!!
