Because I’ve recently blocked hotlinking on my site, many images in the Related Post function display the redirect photo from my hotlink configuration instead of the photo from the post. Is it possible to change the script to stop pointing to the i1.wp.com/mysite/imagelocation and have it source directly from my site again?

    Hi there!

To remove the “i1.wp.com/mysite/imagelocation” path from your images you’ll need to navigate to Jetpack –> Settings –> Performance and disable the “Speed up image load times” option, per:

    https://jetpack.com/support/site-accelerator/

This does mean that Jetpack’s Image CDN, aka Photon, will need to be disabled.

    Thanks!

    Thanks Jeremy,

I’ve done this but it only seems to work on images that are posted after I made the change. I’d like to change the image server from the files posted BEFORE the change.

(in other words, I’d like ALL of my images to be purged from Jetpack’s cache)

Disabling the Image CDN will affect all of the images on your site, so I’d expect that caching is in play here.

If you’re able to provide a list of images that just don’t seem to be (cache) clearing we can force the clear on our end, otherwise, the behaviour should clear up on its own within ~48 hours (admittedly your images should revert to the local URL immediately upon disabling the image CDN so this is somewhat odd).

If you’re not comfortable sending the list publicly you can reach out to us directly at https://jetpack.com/contact-support/.

    Thanks!
