Related posts, ability to exclude a selected category

Hello,

Could it be possible to have a dropdown array to chose or have the ability to deselect or exclude certain categories in the related posts section as a feature request. currently I think you only have category or tag as a choice but not the list of categories or tags.

My particular reason is to stop sensitive posts from being exposed in a non secure area. So far I have managed to exclude my categories that I wish to hide from the wordpress search listing without impacting the backend dashboard search in my child’s function.php but want to exclude the sensitive categories from being listed in the related post carousel at the bottom of any posts page that the criteria code thinks matches.
