related posts by tags only

  • Hello,

    Thank a lot for developing this awesome plugin.
    I have activated tags for pages in my wp installation.

    I’m trying to get this plugin to show related items from the same category, based on tags only (if they’ve a tag in common) but I can’t get it to work.

    Basically nothing appears, even though I specified
    Show when no posts are found: Display custom text.

    I have the following in my settings:
    fetch related posts only from :Tags
    and Disable contextual matching is checked.

    Could you please tell if I’m doing anything wrong?

    Are you using the latest versions of Contextual Related Posts and this plugin?

    Do you have “Match all taxonomy terms” and “Disable contextual matching only on attachments and custom post types” unchecked?

    Does this work if you disable this plugin and only use Contextual Related Posts?

    Thanks a lot for your reply.

    I had both of them checked, I’ve unchecked them as instructed, but I still get nothing.

    Disabling the plugin, leaving only CRP still returns nothing.

    Will you be able to install Query Monitor and then check what queries are generated by the plugin? It looks like no posts are being pulled at all so could be an issue with the queries running

    I checked with query monitor, seems like the queries are not returning anything.

    Do you want me to set-up an account for you?

    Can you post me a link to your site. Also, screenshots of Query Monitor is giving you. Can you also disable the addon plugin and the screenshots of what is returned.

    Separately, can you run the queries in phpMyAdmin or Adminer or similar
