The excerpt content looks like this: page title on top, the text excerpt starts with h1 and then rest of the text.

I want to either highlight the h1 (bold) or remove it completely from the excerpt.

How can I realize this? Thanks for helping…

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

I’m not sure I understand; Jetpack’s Related Posts don’t use h1 headings. Do you happen to use a different plugin to manage Related Posts on your site?

Here is how Jetpack Related Posts look like:

If you experience issues with Jetpack’s Related Posts, could you post a link to one of the posts where you’d like to change the layout, so I can take a closer look at things?

    Hi Jeremy,

    thanks for your answer.
With h1 I meant Jetpack getting the whole page content automatically, so it starts with the page title (link to the page) and the page excerpt starts with h1 text followed by the rest of the content.

To get rid of the h1, I activated “Excerpts” for every page and pasted in the text manually without h1. I looked for a snippet to remove the h1 in the excerpt or to mark/highlight it and couldn’t find it. So maybe this was too much time by hand, but it worked. If there is any better solution, I’m happy to know ??

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

    Thanks for the extra details!

Setting a custom excerpt is indeed the best way to control the look of your Related Posts’s excerpt. If you don’t define one, Jetpack will create one based on the first 50 words of your post content.

I’m glad to hear you’re all set!
