Hi,

I have two blogs, both using the Hueman theme.
In the related posts (“you may also like”), the image dimension of the featured image is square, as it should be.
In the other blog, the image dimensions are about 4:3, so the to and the bottom of the images get cropped.

I’ve meticulously compared the theme configurations, but I’m not able to find the root cause for it…
If someone could point me to the spot where this can be configured, that’d be great.

I’m actually rather surprised that you state the thumbnails should be square. If you look at the theme demo https://demo-hueman.presscustomizr.com/independent-artists-make-their-own-way-without-big-record-labels/ you should see that they actually are more 16:9 than even 4:3. The back-end thumbnail on desktop is a featured image of 520×245 pixels. Just right click an image to open, the dimensions are part of the image name

To avoid oddly cropped thumbnails of featured images I create these in my image software and upload via FTP. I usually have text on them, which otherwise might not fit. The dimensions are
720×340 and 520×245 (and a smaller one, which is 300×142 – not part of the theme setting)
then there is a small one, 160×160 pixels, which is for the widget area in the sidebar.

That’s very strange. On my other blog, they’re perferctly square:

I see it’s different on the theme demo.

It would make a lot of sense to have the option of using the same ratio both as thumbnail and in the related posts section to avoid the cropped text problem (and it must be somehow possible; see wincert blog).
