Related posts not appearing

With the default WordPress, there is no “related posts” function under Settings -> Reading.

Are you using a plug-in?

Thank you for your reply but on the dashboard of my site there most certainly is a related posts function in Settings>Reading. I’d provide a screenshot but I don’t readily see a way to do that here on the forum. Am I perhaps miscommunicating or missing something? I appreciate your help.

Thank you Steven but I am using an iPad without a keyboard and cannot excite the commands indicated. May I respectfully ask that you take me at my word in saying I have enabled related posts as I have said. Regardless of the method I may have used and whether or not the dashboard I am using (WP.org) corresponds to what you are familiar with, do you have any suggestions as to how I can show related posts?

Problem resolved. The solution was not to rely on enabling related posts in Settings>Reading but in using the “related posts” block.

Just curious about the cause, were you running the Jetpack plug-in on your site?

Yes. I believe Jetpack was installed and activated by default but cannot be certain as this is the first and only time I have attempted a WP site. I may be wrong and I may have enabled it myself in early days. In case it makes any difference in your understanding of what I was seeing on my dashboard, enabling related posts was accessed by way of the Reading setting with General Settings on my WP dashboard, not within the Jetpack settings. Whether activating Jetpack changed what appeared in the In WP>Settings>Reading, I can’t say. It may have, which would explain the confusion if JP was not activated at your end. All good now, though, with RP block. Cheers and thanks for the follow up.
