    We recently upgraded our version of WordPress and Jetpack to be current, and since then the Related Posts feature only shows the most recent stories. We thought reindexing and “letting it learn” would help and it did not, so turned off the feature.

    We have configured our stage site so we can figure out what’s going on and how to fix it because this used to work beautifully. We cleared and flushed all the caches; ran Jetpack Debug (“Everything looks great!”); deactivated all plugins to in case of conflicts (none); and have resynced the data. All with no change or effect on the assortment of related posts — just the most recent regardless of topic, tag, etc.

    Is recency the algorithm now for Related Posts? If not, what else should we be trying/doing to make this work like it once did?
