Related Posts: show random post if no related post is found

    Hi guys!

    I am posting here but I’m not sure if this is the right place on the forum.

    I have a doubt about Jetpack’s Related Posts.

    Does anyone know how I can show a random post if no related post was found?

    For example: I always show 3 posts on my related posts.

    If, for any given post, only 2 related posts are found, how can I display a random 3rd post, just to fill in the gap and get the number of 3 posts?

    I tried to google this but my English is so bad that I couldn’t find an answer.

    I hope you can understand me ??

    This should not happen. Jetpack will always return 3 posts. If you only see 2 Related posts on some of your posts, that’s a bug! ??

    Hey Jeremy,

    I checked it, and it’s true, there are no posts with 2 related posts.

    But there are some with no related posts. Although there are several tags in each posts on the blog. Do you think it is possible to make random posts appear if no related is found?

    It’s worth noting that some of the posts may not have any Related Posts for the first few hours after you’ve activated Jetpack. Indeed, it takes a bit of time for Jetpack to index all your posts and come up with a list of Related Posts for each one of your posts.

    If, however, you continue to see posts lacking Related Posts days after you’ve activated the module, something may be wrong. If so, could you point me to a post where you do not see any Related Post, so I can take a closer look?
