related_posts – I'm going crazy!

  • Hi folks,

    I’m getting this error come up on my Worpress site, which was created using a template (unfortunately, the site I bought it from went down shortly after I did, so I can’t get support from them)…

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function related_posts() in /home/techno45/public_html/wp-content/themes/grid-locker-pro/single.php on line 87

    Clearly, that function doesn’t exist yet. I installed the YARPP (Yet Another Related Posts Plugin) plugin, and the error disappeared, but it’s telling me:

    1) every post has ‘no related post’

    2) it’s trying to put the related posts at the end of the post, whereas this theme should be showing them in boxes along the right of the page like this:

    Can anyone please shed some light on this?

  • ‘related_posts’ is a pretty generic function name. It wouldn’t surprise me if several plugins use it. Figuring out which one the theme expects is the puzzle. Does your theme have any documentation?
