    Hello,

We have purchase the pro version of Admin Columns and we need your help.

We would like to know how to display (in a column) a specific field from another pods via a relationship field. Currently if the field is a relation, it can displays only the ID, Title, Thumbnail and Author fields from the other pods.

    Here is a simple example:

    We have 2 pods :
    1/ Film (title_film, release_date, ref_director,…)
2/ Director (firstname, lastname, email, tel, address,…)

ref_director : relation between Film and Director

We would like to display the Director name in the Film Administration page using the ref_director relation field.

How to do that please? We have added the column ref_director in admin-columns, but the fields available in relation to this one are only : ID, Title, Thumbnail and Author. There are no “firstname”, “lastname”, “email”, “tel” and “address” fields.

    Thanks.

You brought this question onto our Slack Chat and then promptly disappeared. I’ll post what I provided over there as a response:

We do not provide the support for Admin Columns Pro. You have purchased a premium license, that means you can get support directly from the plugin developers who support it: https://www.admincolumns.com/topics/
Also, you should be using their specific add-on for Pods: https://www.admincolumns.com/pods/

Being able to pick specific fields from the Relationship is supported in that part of their Pro version.

Thank you for your answer, Jim,

This feature is not supported by this plugin, they will have to think about it.

On their site, they put an example not supported by the plugin, I do not recommend this plugin at all.

The Screen shot I showed was from a relationship to the Users account. My guess is they have defined very specific fields to show based on the connection through the relationship. If you put in a feature request, my guess is this might be supportable, even if it’s only supported through a filter or action hook.

    Hello Jim,

This feature will not be supported soon… I threw away this plugin, and I did everything using hooks…
    Thank you for your support.
