  • That’s actually exactly what it should do. If you want to whitelist the IP you can do so in global settings but keep in mind that if you know you are getting attacked you will have just opened up your system for that ip to keep trying until he gets in.

    I don’t want to whitelist that ip, but e.g. after manually release wanna give it another 5 attempt how it is in settings. After 3rd lockout it should banned permanently.

    It appears from the posts I’ve read on this forum, most are for sites with the .org extension. My problem is a tad bit different. I added this plugin to my website for security because it’s a business site with a .com extension.

    I went through the flags to “Fix It”/fix the problems. You can still get to my website but it appears I locked myself out from my own back office. I cannot log in to edit or make additions to my business site.

    Any suggestions or advice would be most appreciative. Thanks

    It should be fixed (Release lockout actually not releasing, it stays in locked db table)… Also on 3 lockouts, host did not get banned permanently ((
