[Plugin: Relevanssi A Better Search] Custom Field Relevance

  • Hi all.
    I’m wondering if it’s possible to add a relevance to the custom field I use to index.
    My custom field is simply a product code, namely $code.
    If I search for 100 in my form, the results show all the posts that have 100 in their body (one for all 100%) and only in my last page the actual product with code 100 ??
    One solution could be tagging my post as 100 (because post_tag has a high relevance that I can even change) but …is there a better way to do so?

    I got it…it seems an error in the database.
    Putting some test data in the past did all this stuff.
    This plugin is awesome!!!!

    No…I was wrong…
    This is what I did:

    • a product has code 303 and is related (via post_tag) to product 305
    • 305 is related to 212 also
    • when I search for 303 I get 305 as first result and then 303. The same is when I search for 212
    • when I search for 305, I just get 305

    This happens just for those products and a few others. I canceled them, cleaned the database, but it’s always the same result.

    The search for all other products (about 500) is ok.

    Anyone can help?
