Relevanssi doesnt show any results for product variations

  • Hello , I just want to see product variables in my search results , I use Flatsome theme , but eventhough I indexed and used different search bars, its a?ways same … I dont know how can I make this work …

    It’s your theme. Your search results page URL has this &post_type=product. That restricts the search to just products. That’s how WooCommerce themes are set up: they’re pretty much all set up just to show products. The product variations are not supposed to be searched at all.

    Relevanssi won’t have any problems indexing the variations and if you remove the post type restriction from the search, the search will show the variations – but the layout on the search results page depends on the post_type parameter being set to product and the layout will look completely different if you don’t have that there.

    In general it’s often better not to index the product variations as separate posts, but have the essential parts of the variations indexed for the main post. See here: https://www.relevanssi.com/knowledge-base/indexing-product-variation-skus-main-product/
