    Hello,

I already checked your documentation concerning this question. It basically said that video content should automatically reload after consent.

In my case it is still not the case. I need to reload the site to make the videos visible.

I wanted to ask you if you have little code snippet I could add to make the site reload after consent. Or could I suggest an option like that for a future update?

    – The videos mentioned are behind the “Was ist KIKKI.io” flag on the bottom right of the site mentioned

    I use:

    – Elementor

    – Dynamic Content Plugin
(specifically the video skin for YT videos – but it also doesnt seem to work with the skin disabled. If I use the placeholder-image and lazy-load setting it works straight away without any reload – but it is just a workaround for this particular case. I also use videos on another end of the site, where they are dynamicly created by the user – and I dont want to force the user to manually set a thumbnail for every video / so I would have to solve this problem anyways)

    – I turned of caching for now … for trouble shooting purposes

    THX in advance!!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @mgeuer2013,

We have jQuery for this purpose, but I will first see what I can find.

https://demo.complianz.io/placeholders/youtube/ this is default Elementor, so I will see if I can spot the difference with Dynamic Content Plugin.

    regards Aert

Thx a lot!!! Your support is amazing when scrolling through the topics!

Me personally I wouldnt actually mind to not see the placeholders as long as the blocking and un-blocking of cookies/scripts itself kinda works, because this whole consent-cookie thing seems to be quiet tough and a hassle to make it work perfectly.

I am definitely looking forward to your reply.

    Thx again

    Hi @mgeuer2013,

Could you post the URL of the Dynamic Content plugin, I’m not sure which one to pick.

Sure .. this is the website of the plugin:
    https://www.dynamic.ooo/

These are the URLs where I implemented them – when you need to analyze them just let me know and I`ll turn off the cacheing-plugin for a day or two:

    https://kikki.io
(the button on the bottom right “*Was ist KIKKI.io” has a popup with videos)

    https://kikki.io/schauspiel/marie-musterfrau/
    (The tab “Showreel” has videos)

    Thank you a lot!

    Hi @mgeuer2013,

Could you try deactivating lazy loading, and or caching?

    Thanks Aert

    Hi,

I completely deactivated my caching plugin (Swift Performance)

Lazy Loading is activated by default in WP 5.5 – but I deactivated it as well by adding this to my function.php “add_filter( ‘wp_lazy_loading_enabled’, ‘__return_false’ );”

But there is no effect – still need to reload the website.

    Thanks
    Martin

oh boy … I just realized that I turned off the placeholders. But I also remembered why I turned them off in the first place. When I turn them on it actually works even less and behaves even more randomly.

With the placeholders turned off I just know, that everything kinda works (on a technical level) – scripts are getting blocked aso. – after consent I just need to reload the page and everything works fine.

This is why I initially asked for only an option to reload the page. If the placeholders come into the equation things are getting even more “funny” and are not working at all.

I leave the placeholders turned on for now – so that you can see them.

Just let me know when I can turn them back off – it is a live site – and things are looking very “funky” at the moment.

(Do you think it is realistic to find an “okay solution”? If yes I would go and buy the plugin next week to kinda justify the support effort. If not – I would still buy the plugin ?? because this is as close as it gets to something that actually works without being a developer – I`ll just go back to the original setup with the placeholders turned off and inform the user to reload the page after consent).

    Thx

    Hi @mgeuer2013,

Sorry for the late reply. It should be necessary to reload the page, therefore I was hesitant to give you a jQuery with a brute fix.

Could you contact us at complianz.io/support/ for this matter, as we might need to swap some settings for the above mentioned dynamic content plugin.

    regards Aert

    Hi @mgeuer2013,

We’ll keep it off-forum, as it specific to your set-up, this thread will be closed.

    regards Aert
