I installed the developer version. Nothing changed. I tried to activate Quick Cache to clear my site’s cache, but I got this message:

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

Fatal error: Uncaught exception ‘Exception’ with message ‘This version of Quick Cache requires PHP v5.3+.’ in /home/content/26/9158726/html/wp-content/plugins/quick-cache/quick-cache.php:19 Stack trace: #0 /home/content/26/9158726/html/wp-admin/plugins.php(147): include() #1 /home/content/26/9158726/html/wp-admin/plugins.php(149): plugin_sandbox_scrape(‘quick-cache/qui…’) #2 {main} thrown in /home/content/26/9158726/html/wp-content/plugins/quick-cache/quick-cache.php on line 19

Haven’t seen that before… In any event, not fixed yet… At least, not on my site.

    Thanks,

    Brandon

I believe the code I’m throwing above is for an outdated version of PHP. I’m running PHP 5. I’m upgrading to PHO 5.3 as I type this message. Hoping this solves all issues.

    Thanks.

    Hi Brandon,

Updating PHP might fix the issue with my plugin as well, if you were running PHP 5.. Let me know please.

Otherwise my guess is that it is a plugin conflict issue, and I’ll have to work my way through the complete list of plugins you’re running. Not looking forward to that… ??

Yeah, I was using PHP 5. The system can take anywhere from 7-10 minutes to complete the update. I’ll let you know as soon as it finishes where we stand. Hope I don’t break any other plugins, lol.

    Thanks for your support Danny!

Well, sadly, that fixed neither issue. lol, I started with 1 plugin not working, now I’m rackin’ ’em up. We’re up to 2! lol

    Sorry Danny!

    Hi Brandon,

Could you create me a temporary admin account on hi @ my full name . com (website is in my profile) so I can take a look? I won’t change anything so your visitors won’t notice a thing. ??

    Hi Danny-

Good morning sir. Your user has been created. The details for logging in have been emailed to you. I noticed down at the bottom now, there is a query print out. on every page. I’m trying to figure out what’s causing that to show right now. I figured it was because of your plugin because you said it was a developer version, but disabling it didn’t make it go away. Weird. In any event, thanks so much sir, and have a great day,

    Hi Brandon,

Thanks well received and I just managed to find out the issue. I just “fixed it” by removing a feature that conflicts with one of your other plugins. Your website (one of your plugins or a setting, can’t tell yet) performs a redirect when the URL contains a #.

You can try it out by trying to visit any url on your webpage. https://terrasindependentvoice.com/#test-this-hashtag , you will see the page redirect right after loading.

Please do not update the plugin until you found the conflicting plugin or setting. ??

    Hope that helps!

    Danny-

The page still reloads, but it is giving success messages, so that is a plus. Is the reason it’s reloading because of the feature I have installed? Alrighty. Well, it’s printing a success message now, and that is perfectly fine. There’s no reason to lose our hair over the page reload. The plugin is doing it’s job and updating our MailChimp list and printing the proper message. Thanks so much for your support Danny, I’m much obliged! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. You have a great day sir!

    Hi Brandon,

Yep, the page reload is supposed to happen in the “lite” version of the plugin. AJAX forms (no page submit) is a Pro only feature, sorry..

The Lite version had a smooth scroll to the form element after a page has been submitted but that was causing problems on your website so I removed that in the version you’re running. It’s a pity but better than a form that does not function, I guess! ??

Have a great Thanksgiving Brandon. We don’t really celebrate that where I am. ??

    Danny
