Reload page after cookie consent – facebook page widget

    Hello,

    We are using on our homepage this widget: “Facebook Page Like widget”.
    So I setup placeholder before having consentment, and after consentment it should appear by itself but it’s not the case, we have to reload page to make it appears.

    Anyway it’s not the case with google maps for example that appears right away after consent without need of reload page.

    Is there a way to force it to reload this widget ? Or at least make it reload the page after cookie consent ?

    Hi @rfouquet,

    When I reload the page, it seems that consent is revoked. This could indicate that the Complianz consent cookies are not set correctly. Do you also see this behavior?

    Could you test if there is a minification or caching plugin interfering, by temporarily disabling this plugin and testing the Facebook placeholder again?

    Thanks for your quick reply, I experience same issue as yours before, but after deleting cookies in browser it works fine now, my cookie consent is still working after reload.

    We are not using cache plugin. Here is the plugin active I have if it can helps :

    We made an integration for your the ‘Widget for Social Page Feeds’ plugin. I expect that this will solve your problem. You can test this integration by adding this integration as a MU-plugin: https://github.com/rlankhorst/complianz/blob/Widget-for-Social-Page-Feeds/integrations/plugins/facebook-pagelike-widget.php

    After you have approved the integration, we will release it with the next Complianz update and you can remove the mu-plugin.
