• Hi,

    Hopefully someone here can help…

I have had a WordPress based ecommerce site, and because of problems with my previous host, I have moved my hosting over to Godaddy. At the time of setting up hosting with Godaddy, my site was not accessible on my old host because a WordPress plugin had corrupted my database. I had asked the old host to restore, but 10 days later it was still down, thus the decision to relocate host. I have a full site backup (36mb)from my old host that I made using Cpanel. This is a complete backup not only the WordPress database. How can I restore this site onto the new server at Godaddy? So far I have installed WordPress on my Godaddy host and have restored the mySQL database which was included in the full site backup. This partially brings my site back but does not restore full functionality including my product database and graphics. I do not have Cpanel on Godaddy.

    Any words of wisdom?

    Don

Didn’t the MySQL database have the product database tables?

You would also need to restore your wp-content folder that would have themes, plugins, and uploads. Since you got the MySQL database backup from your file, guessing that that folder (wp-content) is in there so you could extract to your local machine then use FTP to upload to Godaddy.
