Remember b2evo? Thinking about FSE, what if

  • I’ve been experimenting more with FSE and Custom Post Types. The thought occurred to me: I wonder if– through FSE and CPT– could a b2evolution-esque site be created? Not exactly like b2evo, but along that idea of the separate themes. Babe to the teat, I’m not wrapping my head around it quite right just yet, but it seems like that could be done. Not that anyone would want to.

    Then why bother asking? If an existing solution exists, why “reinvent the wheel”?

    I think such an application is possible with WP, but it’ll take more than FSE with CPTs to accomplish it. It would also involve custom code development.

    My dear friend, the “wheel is reinvented” everyday.

    I believe I’ve heard of something called “Full Site Editing” introduced into the core of an otherwise perfectly fine CMS. Hmm… whose bright idea was it to reinvent that wheel? LOL.
