    Used this plugin very successfully, but after recent switch to SMTP using WP Mail SMTP plugin review emails show ‘error’ in the plugin’s log and do not appear in the website’s mail log created by another plugin (WP Mail log). Are there any settings required when switching to SMTP? Thanks

    Hi,

    Thanks for using CusRev.

    If you use the option “Independently Verified”, the review reminder email will be sent from cusrev.com, not from your site. So the mail log plugin on your site cannot log the sent email.

    Regarding the error, please edit the order and share some screenshots of the order notes. It could help us understand what the issue is.

    Here it is, hope it helps. The review was scheduled and I chose ‘send now’ in review screen because I had an inkling that something was not working, as we received no reviews for a while

    btw test email worked fine. so something with getting data from the actual order details?

    AH, I may have found the problem myself. ‘Manual reminders can be sent for completed orders from Orders page after enabling this option.’ But we do not change status to ‘completed’, just too many to handle. So is this why manual reminder sending fails?

    Hi,

    I mean editing the order 6815 as in your first screenshot to see the order notes. It should have been sent on Apr 01 but got an error. Also, can you send the review reminder manually? If yes, there could be an issue with WP Cron on your site.

    You can see the order notes in the second screenshot https://ibb.co/MB8dkHm, but the issue so far was only when I tried to send manually. See my previous message – is the problem that the orders are not ‘completed’? (“‘Manual reminders can be sent for completed orders from Orders page after enabling this option.”) There has not been a scheduled reminder since change to SMTP (which I thought was an issue, but is not). I tried sending manually to check if it works. I can wait till next scheduled one on the 13th to see if it goes ok.
