Remove　（TOP I）from the search results

  • Hello All,

    I need some help for a site that I am managing. I need to remove （TOP I）from the Google search results for the title of my WP Website.

    From the link above you can see that in the search results I find the following title for my page.

    TOP | 日本関係欧文史料の世界 – 国際日本文化研究センター

    But I want this to appear just as follows.

    日本関係欧文史料の世界 – 国際日本文化研究センター

    Can anybody please help me what is the procedures to do that?

    That title tag might be coming from the Yoast SEO plugin, here is a relevant link:

    Hello Gcpradhan1,

    You can simply try to deactivate the Yoast SEO plugin and see if it helps. But please check your title tag in browser because most likely you’ll not see changes in Google search results right away.

    Thanks a lot for your suggestion.

    I use Yoast SEO plugin to specify keywords. I am wondering if I deactivate that how I will specify keywords ! Or is it possible without Yoast SEO?

    Well, it looks like this issue requires close inspection. As an option, you can find a reputable freelancer on Upwork for this kind of service. It’ll cost some money though.
