  • These ‘sections’ are called widgets, and you can manage them by going to Appearance->Widgets in your WordPress admin.

On that page you will see a widget area (your sidebar) that can contain widgets. Here you can add/delete/re-order them as you wish.

I am using an old theme, so I get the following message when I follow these directions.

The theme you are currently using isn’t widget-aware, meaning that it has no sidebars that you are able to change.

Is there another solution? Thank you dgwyer.

Yes, in that case your widgets may have been added manually to your sidebar.php file. Check out the code there, and edit as necessary (backup first in case you wish to revert later on).
