I’ve spent two days on my own trying to figure this out, but not having any luck, so I hope you can help me. Debugging is enabled and the page / album in question is here: https://www.archerfoto.com/blog/baskins/.

The things that are driving me crazy are:
    1. I always see a little box when hovering over thumbnails. It looks like an empty ALT box.
    2. I can’t get rid of the Start text for slideshow. Everything related to slideshow is empty in settings as far as I can see.
    3. I don’t know where the Full Screen text comes from. It’s great if it’s not for mobile devices, but on mobile devices, it’s an impossible text.

    Other questions:
    1. Sort order: Thumbnails sorting according to EXIF date works perfectly but it the lightbox image order doesn’t work for left-to-right with masonry-style thumbs. The lightbox is showing image order of thumbnails top to bottom by column. How to make the lightbox either (1) go in order according to EXIF date or (2) in order left to right by thumbnail row?
    2. Import from NextGen: If I can get everything above to work well, I’d like to go with your plugin (and donate of course!). Then I will give up trying to make NextGen work the way I want. But what’s the difference between dynamic NextGen galleries and not dynamic when trying to import? The import dialog in WPPA shows galleries with a dynamic prefix and without.

Thanks! Really hope you can help. Apologies for such a long support post on my first try.

You have the small magnifier there.

I found that an empty photo name still produced an empty title on slideshows. I fixed that. If you delete and re-install the plugin as if it were a new one, you will have the fix.

My problem is that chrome and safari on a windows 7 system do not show empty tooltip boxes, so i can not easily verify it.

the “Delete” and “Edit” link for admin, even though I have it unchecked in settings.

Admin is always allowed to do anything. That is a feature.

I deleted and reinstalled from scratch and the empty tooltip is still showing.
Regarding the delete and edit link for admin, I don’t think I explained myself well. I have unchecked everything related to showing admin tools on the frontend (can’t find the exact tables right now, but one is in the Misc. table), but on the front end, only for default thumbnail view, there is an edit/delete link under some, but not all of the thumbnails. These links don’t show at all (exactly as wanted) for other types of thumbnail gallery displays.

I’d like to mail you the login info so you can see what I mean. Is that ok?

Thanks for working so hard … I really am amazed at the great support.

I made another hotfix for the empty tooltip. Please do it again. You should see version WPPA+ API Version: 6-1-14-002. in the header of the settings page.

there is an edit/delete link under some, but not all of the thumbnails.

Make the thumbnail frame higher in Table I-C4 to see them everywhere. It is a feature, not a bug.

Nope, unfortunately the empty tooltip is still showing in Chrome and Safari. I’ve deleted all caches, turned off Cloud Flare, verified that version 6-1-14-002 is installed, and done things so I could see the site was properly refreshing. Not sure if it’s my imagination or not, but it seems like it takes longer for the empty tool tip to show up now.

The behavior is that all tooltips are empty boxes when I uncheck the “zoom in” option in settings.

For my testing, the first image in https://www.archerfoto.com/galleries/baskins/ has no photoname and all the rest have filenames (the default album setting) as photoname.

I have to stop for now, and I can really live with this, but thanks for trying. If you have additional suggestions or if you want me to try more later, please feel free to let me know.

I did some additional homework. Pls re-install again, version will be 6-1-14-003

New setting: Table II-D17, to switch off the edit/delete links

The empty tooltip should now also be gone when Show zoom in is switched off.

Hello and a huge thanks for all the fighting to get rid of the empty tooltip box showing on Safari and Chrome in OSX … and then the bonus of being able to switch of the edit/delete links so I can more easily see how the page will look to the end user without logging out and in again.

It ALL works! I noticed that you updated with even one more version, so I’m running version 6-1-14-004.

    Thanks!!
