Remove "appeared first on…" from RSS feed

I just installed the plugin and noticed that now in the emails I send out via RSS, it adds a new line at the bottom of the post excerpt that says:
The post [post title] appeared first on [my blog name].
Is there a way to remove that via the plugin or do I have to change my RSS feed?
