    Hello All,

Can someone please tell me how I could go about removing the author and comment is off text on the selected badge page? I created a page that has a list of all achievements and when you click on an achievement it takes you to the selected achievement page and on that page it displays above the achievement “By xxxxx, Comments are off”. So it displays as though it’s a post and I want it to look more like a page. Can anyone help me to remove this?
I have been trying for days, ugh.

    Thanks in advance

This is going to be something inherited from your archive.php and single.php in your theme.

If you’re familiar with the template hierarchy this should be pretty straightforward, but if you’re not a designer/developer at all, and have someone on the team that is, they should know how to handle this then.

Thanks for your reply. You wouldn’t believe that I was able to turn it off with the click of a button (theme options). Lol I know, I know, silly me! I am in deed the furthest thing from a developer/designer. All this stuff is totally new to me. Which is why I am facing kind of like the same problem. The theme I am using allows me to remove date, author and comments from all posts at once or apply to all at once. With that said I can’t remove it without removing it from all of my posts. I want to keep this on my posts just not achievements posts. As I said I am new to this but I do know my way around to locate files in the back end and locate specific codes within however I don’t know anything about what code to change. Can you please tell me what code I would alter in archive.php and single.php?

    Thanks again

Could you go to pastebin.com and create pastes for both of those files? It may be easier for me to amend quickly. If you’re using a child theme, even better, but I can’t guarantee that.

Before I do too much, is this theme of yours likely going to get future updates from the original theme developer?

Hi, I doubt it if this theme will be updated as it is a free theme I am using and I haven’t seen anywhere that it will be updated in the future. If you think it would be best not to update it after altering the code, I won’t. I have went to pastebin.com and pasted both files. Not sure how the pastebin thing works but here is the link to both and .

    Thanks

Both are giving me private paste notices and logging in isn’t revealing them to me.

Hi, sorry about that. I think i fixed it now. Please try https://pastebin.com/kUidMYXu and https://pastebin.com/mfqKMBsh

Bah, looks like I’m going to need another file, content.php from the looks of it.

I have created the paste for content.php https://pastebin.com/1grfe5Ai

I imagine it’s part of the sugarspice_posted_on() function, for which I have no way to know where that’s defined and set at.
