How do I completely remove the author base:
    https://blog.com/author/username/

    I want to achieve this:
    https://blog.com/username

  • At the moment this is not possible.
I may soon add this feature as it seems useful in some situations.

    Thank you.

    Thanks, I’d really appreciate that.
Great plugin btw. keep it up.

You should now be able to do this with version 2.6.

Great! I’ll let you know how it works with a large number of users.

I use a post base and I noticed that If I’m using a custom structure (www.example.com/post-base/p=123) then the function <?php the_author_posts_link() ?> gets corrupted and adds the post base (www.example.com/post-base/author). Otherwise, the author URL is working fine without a base.

    gavinhamm, is that still happening?
I can’t reproduce it, the_author_posts_link() outputs as it should.

    and a htaccess redirection?
