remove builder shortcode from content

Hello,
I’m using WPUG with the AVADA theme.
The excerpt is not showing any words and as i add the content block (limitted to the ammount of words needed) i see the avada theme shortcode instead of the first 10 words.

is there a way to filter out the theme shortcode or the excerpt shows the first 10 words form a post?
