I am retiring this website and want to redirect each page to its respective alternative on another domain.

However, it seems Yoast or wordpress(if you deactivate Yoast) are creating canonical URLs for each page by default. So adding an additional canonical URL per page to the external site is not doing its intended task because it conflicts with the already existing canonical URL for the same page.

    How to circumvent this?

    Wordpress version 5.15
    Yoast version 8.4

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

@pbadam If you wish to disable the canonical URL from being output on your site, you can use the developer filter wpseo_canonical to accomplish that.

We have more information on this here, and you can find example code usage for the filter here.
