A strange bug in category removal in version 6 , 6.1 has occurred to me. When I delete category in the plugin settings, on sitemap, all links work well and clicking on each link will open the thread. But when the site is mapped to google webmaster I submit all the category links to the 404 error.
Previous links that contain the category when indexed again gives 404 error. The URL does not work at all. Google has issued this warning.

When we tested a sample of the URLs from your Sitemap, we found that some URLs were not accessible to Googlebot due to an HTTP status error. All accessible URLs will still be submitted.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello,
Please resubmit your sitemap to Google Search Console to force-update your sitemap information. You may refer to this kb article. You only need to submit your sitemap index as Google will automatically parse the individual sitemaps.

I introduced the sitemap to Google, and I again waited for two weeks. But the total URLs in the category is Error 404. You just need to remove the category in the advanced settings. Next, enter the same address with the category, it will not redirect and give 404 an error.

I’ve been reporting the bug for two weeks, but nobody will help me

If you think you found a bug, you can file a bug report for the Yoast SEO plugin in this GitHub repository: https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo.
