Remove checkout fields for a specific product?

I’m very new to WooComerce and am trying to learn to use it to download digital files such as PDFs, ebooks etc… I’ve got a free product I’m giving away that is set up as a downloadable file. Since it is free I just set the price at $0. Not sure if that is the correct way to do it? Also, when I got to check out I can’t seem to bypass or remove all the billing/shipping info. I don’t want that to be shown for certain free items I use as incentives for signing up. Is there an easy way to remove? I’m using the free version of WooCommerce at this time.
