Remove comments "graphics" at the bottom of the page

Hi,

How can I remove the “graphics” on the bottom of the page when I have comments turned off?

I see you have it on your site as well, here:
https://themes.wpninjas.net/distinction/simple-columns/

Scroll to the very bottom, and there is a gray “bar” where the comments used to be… When you don’t have too much text this looks quite ugly.

Thanks otherwise for a great theme!
