Remove CPT slug from url

    hello,

    i’m using the plugin with EasyDigitalDownloads Post type
    and two taxonomies a’ve custom registered as Artist and Type.

    i have an archive page like: domain.com/type/musicvideo/
    and it shows only music video downloads
    an also i have an archive page like: domain.com/artist/test
    and it shows downloads with test artist

    but when i try this link : domain.com/artist/test/type/musicvideo/
    it goes to 4040 not found page.

    the only link that is working is this one : domain.com/downloads/artist/test/type/musicvideo/

    but for some reason i have to disable archive view for EasyDigitalDownload on this link : domain.com/downloads/

    and i need the beautiful taxonomy links to be like this : domain.com/artist/test/type/musicvideo/
    witout downloads posttype name at the begining.

    is it possible ?

    Sorry for rush but is there any way i can get an answer sooner ?
    i want to know if its possible to remove CPT from urls ?

    Hi mate.

    Sorry to say but no you can’t remove the CPT from the URL. It’d make it impossible for WP and rewrite rules to be certain what CPT to query. You could probably create those rules yourself and hook into the plugin to strip out the CPT from the URL.. but that’ll be something unsupported by it so it’s at your own risk ??.
