I’m using Braintree business account sandbox. I’m not yet approved for braintree production account yet, so i can’t check there. (I also have paypal sandbox account if that matters)

Jennifer here, stepping in for Julie.

I’d like to make sure that I correctly understand the issue here – the issue is that, with both of these options enabled, credit card fields are essentially appearing twice on the checkout page, once if “Braintree (Credit Card)” is selected and once if the user clicks the icons under “Braintree (PayPal)”. To fix this, you would like to remove the credit card icons under the PayPal section. Is this correct?

If this is the case, then a customization would be required in order to hide or remove those options. However, you could hide them easily with some CSS to avoid customers seeing two different places where they can enter a credit card:

#paypal-animation-content .paypal-button-label-card {
display: none;
}

This can be added to the style.css file of your child theme or with a plugin like the free Simple Custom CSS plugin.

Thanks for confirming that for me, and I’m sorry that the CSS didn’t work for you.

I tested this out locally, and it appears to be working on my end. You can make the following tweak though, which might help:

#paypal-animation-content .paypal-button-label-card {
display: none !important;
}

After adding this CSS, you will want to clear out your site and browser cache to make sure that you’re seeing the current version of the page. If it’s still not working, could you please send me a link to your site? I’ll be happy to take a look. ??
