Remove date and comment count

How do I remove the date and comment count from my site?

I have found links that discuss child pages (I don’t think I have this as I’ve just edited the main Baskerville theme to suit my page) and have found links discussing the code (however I adjust settings within the dashboard, and don’t use code).

Is there a simple way?
