Remove Default / No Widget notice

  • Hi, could someone help me remove this from all my pages:

    Default Widget
    This is just a default widget. It’ll disappear as soon as you add your own widgets on the Widgets admin page.

    Below is an example of an unordered list.

    List item one
    List item two
    List item three
    List item four

    I managed to remove this, however the left column is still there, please help.

    could you please explain how you removed the “defaut widget” ?

    I don’t want any widget at the bottom of pages, and i haven’t find any way to completely remove it.

    HI, There is a post about it on the support forum. Sorry I cannot locate it. Also try a google search for ‘remove default widget WordPress theme’, arrow down your search to include the theme name. Good luck

    Have you done the modification within the wordpress interface or through the editor ?

    But it doesn’t change anything, even if i remove all widgets from the widget section, i still got the “defaut widget” text on my wordpress website

    Finally i got it ! so for anyone looking to remove this “defaut widget” mention in the pages, just go to the theme editor, and in the style.css file just add the following code at the end of the sheet

    .home #secondary {
    display: none;
    }

    Hi, thanks! I believe I did this too, and the widgets have gone. The issue is that I still have hidden column where the widget was. See the screen shot. I cannot centre the gallery strip.
