while being inside a gallery, a bug is occuring because the photo is not successfully deleted (if the deleted photo is the last uploaded one).

Is it possible to add an option to remove the photo from the bin directly (not having to wait or remove it manually inside the menu)

    thanks,

    regards,

    Lucas

How did you discover the photo is still available after deletion?

the thumbnail of the gallery is not showing and when going inside “album” (backend) we are seeing a message that a photo can be restored.

So we have to manually delete it from here or we have the problem of the thumbnail and another problem inside the album of the user “trying to access offset on value of type bool”

But after waiting or manually delete the photo, everything work back as wanted.

I want very much to know how to generate the error “trying to access offset on value of type bool” or the stacktrace of the error, because this is a bug that must be fixed

we have a page with many galleries from members and each of them have a thumbnail (which is the last uploaded photo).
If the user delete the photo from the front end, the gallery doesn’t have a thumbnail (white box) and if we click on the gallery we have the error.

And as I said, just manually delete the photo or wait for fully deletion correct both problems.
That’s why I’m asking if it’s possible to have an option to fully delete a photo (without having to wait or manually delete it).

    Thanks ??

    Regards,

When we click on the thumbnail I think that it wants to access to a photo which is not here anymore (but not fully deleted) so it doesn’t know what to do….

What is the link on the cover image? I.e. what does it do normally when the photo is still there? does it open the list of thumbnails, a slideshow or lightbox?

So far i can not yet reproduce your issue, so pls tell me the steps i have to do.
So far, i set coverimage to last upload.
When i click on the coverimage i get the thumbnails, i also tried the slideshow.
When i delete the photo in the thumbnail view, and re-open the page with the abum cover i get a different image (the one that is successively the last upload).

Are you useing a caching plugin different from wppa internal cache?

    I’ll try to answer :

the link is something like this =>
    /albums-photo/wppaspec/oc1/lnfr/cv0/ab20

usually, when I click on this link and if everything’s ok I have a gallery opened on another page with many photos (with a link like this => wppaspec/oc1/lnfr/sd1/ab19/pt139 for each photo) which open the same photo in big.

Yes I have W3 Total Cache and wp-optimize.

To reproduce the error for us =>
upload a photo => the photo is used as thumbnail for the gallery

go inside the gallery and click on delete

go back where we can see every thumbnail for each gallery , and the thumbnail where I deleted the photo is just a white box and when I go inside this gallery I have the error I mentionned.

To correct the issue => we have to wait the fully deletion of the image or delete it manually on the backend .

The issue is not happening if the deleted photo is not the last one (the photo used as thumbnail)

I have enough info now. It should be fixed in the next version; i can give you a link in a few hours to the release candidate, so you can test it before the release.
