    Hi… again!

This shouldn’t be a long thread. I’m not using category pages, but instead using my own pages, so wonder if you know of a way to remove the category slug from the category link on single pages?

    How it is:
    https://gbv.sinkadus.com/event_cat/konstplattform/

    What I want:
    https://gbv.sinkadus.com/konstplattform/

There is a setting to change the slug (default: event_cat), but as far as I can se, no way to remove the slug from the permalinks. Or is there? Or do you know of some handy plugin that can do that? (I have tried 5-6 permalink plugins now with no luck…)

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

I don’t think that’s possible, because an event is a custom post type. Only native posts and pages are listed without prefix. Guess to avoid conflicts.

I’ve read something about adding 'with_front' => false, while registering post type, but that one doesn’t remove the /event part. More info about it here.

Yeah, I’ve been down this road a couple of times, always tricky. Maybe I can solve it with a advanced redirect…

    Thanks for the explanation!

Solved it with a regex redirection with this plugin.

It takes an extra second to load, that its okay – good enough!
