• I have just installed my first wordpress website using the local business theme. The theme has dummy content like “Travel Safe with Us” and “Our Taxi service is really awesome and you gonna love it.”
How do I remove this content ? .

look in the DASHBOARD > PAGES and/or DASHBOARD > POSTS and delete what you don’t want.

No good there are no pages or posts , I have checked the data base, this stuff is auto generated from a script, I have found that adding widgets and placing an   in side blanks out the footer dummy text, I am now looking page features to do the same .

In theme options I have had to place a blank space in all the features to get rid of the feature text. There has to be a simpler way of doing things ? .

Have you checked in Appearance -> Customize? Or any other link on the left side menu of the admin for options to add/change content?

Nothing there, widgets and features are filled with dummy text by default.
I have checked the template files front-page.php generates this dummy text if the features or widgets are empty .

Site link might help. What theme are you using?

The theme has dummy content like “Travel Safe with Us” and “Our Taxi service is really awesome and you gonna love it.”

The usual dummy stuff is “hello world” where did you get the install from?

It doesn’t sound like a very reliable theme. But I guess you can modify the front-page.php yourself then.

Working my way through it now, I am a php programmer just working on this for a client I don’t use WP, the client picked the theme “Local Business WordPress Theme” because its free . I can modify to suit the job .

The best way to make changes like this to a theme is to use a child theme, so your tweaks won’t be overwritten when updating the theme. Here are some guides in case you haven’t made one before:
