    The plugin is designed to leave the data column in place when a field is deleted so that an accidental deletion does not result in data loss. It does no harm to leave the column in place, so it’s is a safety feature.

    Ok. In this case answer – could I delete unused field in participants_database table only or field have links in another tables?

    Once you have deleted the field from the plugin, you can safely delete the corresponding column from the main database table. That will completely delete the field and column from the database.
