@wpwebshop Can you provide a link to a map like that? Often such links can be easily removed with a small filter.

@google Maps Plugin: I would rather remove it myself, again it should be an option not something obligatory

@jan: check for example this map: https://www.vcacursus.nl/cursus/locaties/ and you will see the link below the map on the right bottom. There is no option in the plugin settings AFAIK, would be great if there’s a function to remove such links ??

also @google Maps Plugin; this link is against the terms of WordPress, see https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/about/faq/

    “Powered By” links
All links on the forward facing aspect of a website must be “Opt In.” This means your plugin may not default to link back to your site, or any other, on the part of the website that visitors see.

I couldn’t wait and installed the plugin on my test setup.

@google-maps-plugin your plugin adds this HTML to the output.

    <a href="https://readyshoppingcart.com/product/google-maps-plugin/" target="_blank" title="Google Maps Plugin" style="float:right;font-size:11px;color:rgb(68,68,68)!important;text-decoration:none;">Google Maps Plugin</a>

Which isn’t permitted per the plugin guidelines.

    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/about/guidelines/

    See the item about

    10. The plugin must not embed external links on the public site (like a “powered by” link) without explicitly asking the user’s permission. Any such options in the plugin must default to NOT show the link.

You can make that link optional but it has to default to off. Will you be updating your plugin?

    Hello.
Ok, sure, we will release new version tomorrow, and remove this feature. Thank you for reporting.

Just curious if this was actually done. There have been several versions released since this was marked as Resolved, yet the link still exists in the current version, which is either 1.2.5.4 as displayed on the www.ads-software.com plug-in directory page, or 1.2.7 as shown on the installed plug-in.

    Hello,

I also have this issue. I have not been able to determine how to remove the links. I cannot use this on a professional site. Can you please tell us how to remove this link in the current version?

    Thank you
