Remove/hide the “Debit and Credit Card” button in Express Checkout

  • I want to use Paypal’s Advanced Card Processing, but would like to remove/hide the Debit and Credit Card button that appears in the Express Checkout section (when using checkout block) because if the user needs to use credit card to pay, they can just scroll down to the next section to fill out the credit card form which is essentially the same as the “Debit and Credit Card” button. Is it possible?

    If you want to completely disable this gateway you can do that by adding Credit or debit cards to the Disable Alternative Payment Methods setting in “Standard Payments”

    I’ve already done that, but it doesn’t change anything. I believe the Debit/Credit Card button is from the “Advanced Card Processing” tab. To be clear, I want to use the Advanced Card Processing feature of PayPal, but just want to hide the “Debit or Credit Card” button that appears in the “Express Checkout” section because it is redundant.

    Thank you for the update and clarification. It helps to understand your initial concerns better.

    Currently, the Express Button from Advanced Card Processing appears as long as the gateway is enabled. I’ll rise and discuss the possibility of adding a function to hide this button and if it aligns with PayPal’s guidelines.

    The “Credit and Debit” (black button) at the top of the express checkout page shouldn’t be there.

    This is a bug that may have been introduced with the Advanced Card Processing blocks integration.

    We will address this issue soon.
